Shipping Policy


Shipping
Products ship from multiple distribution centers; the items on your order may arrive at separate times. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.

Delivery
Normally our shipping is free, via U.P.S. ground. The only exceptions are:
  • Oversized Items and extremely heavy items, which are noted on their product information pages as requiring a special delivery charge. The delivery charge varies depending on the size and weight of the item. These charges will be included in the Shipping & Handling subtotal of your order.
Products Damaged During Shipment and Defective Products
Within thirty days of receiving your order, inspect the product(s) and inform us of any manufacturing defects or damages that occurred prior to delivery. At our discretion, we will either repair or replace the damaged or defective goods for no additional charge. No replacements or refunds will be issued in the event the customer fails to notify us of defective or damaged merchandise within two weeks of receipt.

International Shipments
To place international shipping orders, you may place your order online and we will contact you via e-mail with a shipping quote. When e-mailing us, include your name, shipping address, daytime phone number our customer service associates reply to you with a shipping quote. At that time you will be able to accept or decline your order. Once we have confirmation via e-mail that you accept the freight costs and understand that all international sales are final, the order will be placed pending payment approval.

Products Damaged During Return Shipment
Product that is damaged during shipment back to us will receive no refund or credit. We will inform the customer via email that the item(s) were received damaged, and the product will be held for up to 45 days. It is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping carrier and instruct us concerning the disposition of the damaged product. If we have not received notification or response from the customer within 45 days, the item will be considered destroyed and will be discarded.

Risk of Loss
The risk of loss and title on items purchased from us pass to the purchaser upon our delivery to the carrier.

Order Cancellations
If your order is custom made or made to order, it cannot be cancelled once the manufacturer has started production. Refusal to accept a custom order or non-returnable product may result in up to a 100% cancellation fee.

Orders may be able to be cancelled provided the manufacturer or we have not already shipped the product or incurred handling costs. Those items may involve a cancellation fee, handling fees, and or shipping fees, re-delivery fees, attempted delivery fees, for which the customer is liable. Customers who refuse delivery may be charged up to a 100% cancellation fee.

Privacy Policy


We take information about you so that we are able to tell you about our products, discounts, or other events. We also take enough information so that we are able to better the shopping experience for you and our other customers.

When a customer purchases an item from us, if paying with credit card they may have to give just enough information so that we are able to process the transaction (credit card info, etc.). When placing an order online, you will be required to give an address for shipping purposes, and payment information. When contacting customer service with questions/comments, we may ask for email, phone number or address so that we can respond to you. This information will only stay on file with your consent, so that we may contact you in the future. Customer�s information will not be shared with third parties. All customer information (billing info, email, phone number, etc.) is password protected in our computer system, and cannot be reached without the correct password, known only by our staff. We reserve the right to change the privacy policy. You will be able to tell that it has been updated because we will change the date on the notice. By using this website you agree to the privacy policy, and to abide by its terms. If you would prefer not to receive communications from us, let us know. We will make sure that you no longer receive the information you do not want.

Return Policy


Products may be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order for a refund. Shipping charges to return the item to the manufacturer will be deducted from your refund amount and a 25% restocking fees will apply. If the return is due to our error, we will pay for the cost of shipping and no restocking fee will apply. Please contact us for details. If you have any questions regarding the status of your return, please contact a customer service associate.

The Return Process
Please call one of our customer service associates to begin your return process. Once the return request has been filed, you will be issued a Return Merchandise Number (RMA#) from Creative Lighting. This RMA# must be sent with the product. You will have 30 days in which to return the product. After 30 days, the Return Authorization will expire and no replacements or refunds will be given.

Acceptable returned merchandise must be:
  • Unused
  • In its original box with sufficient packaging materials
  • In re-saleable condition
  • In original condition with no cut wires or modifications.
  • Accompanied by a Return Merchandise Number (RMA#), issued by Creative Lighting.
Items and orders that DO NOT qualify for returns or refunds are:
  • Large orders: (Orders containing qty 5 or more of a single item, or an order having an invoice total greater than 50 may not qualify for return. If you are purchasing a large quantity of an item, we recommend first purchasing a sample to ensure that the product meets your requirements. Customers are responsible for acquiring all necessary product information before orders are placed).
  • Items not purchased from Alloway Lighting Company.
  • Special purchases such as: clearance items, inventory sale items, custom quotes, special discounts, etc.
  • Expedited shipping and charges for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and International orders.
  • Fixtures with cut wires, missing parts, missing glass or damage are not returnable
  • International Orders
  • Custom Made or Made to order products are not eligible for return.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed!
We stand behind the products we sell. We take pride in our order processing speed and quick shipment arrangements with most of our vendors. Please carefully check your order details. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a purchase you may return a product within 30 days of receiving it (with the exceptions of clearance items, see below). Absolutely no returns will be accepted after 30 days. Please inspect all products upon receipt. To return a purchase, follow the Return Procedure explained below.

Payment Options
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Payment Terms
Items scheduled to ship within 30 days of order date are billed in full at time of order. In the event that an order is cancelled or a product is found to be discontinued, you will receive a credit to the card submitted within approximately 2 business days from when the transaction is confirmed as cancelled.

Sales Tax
Sales tax is collected on orders shipped in Minnesota. We do not charge sales tax on any orders shipped outside of Minnesota.

International Orders
International orders require a 0 U.S. funds minimum order on all orders and are not returnable.

International orders must be paid by wire transfer with the exception of: Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Canada, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa. Please note that all sales on international orders are final. To place an international shipping order, you may place your order online and we will contact you via e-mail with a shipping quote. We will have one of our customer service associates reply to you with a quote. After you place your order and approve any related shipping quote charges, you will be contacted by customer service via e-mail with the details on how to arrange payment to our bank. Please note that we are not responsible for any wire transfer fees or related charges.

Refunds
The customer will be refunded (less applicable restocking fees) once the returned item has been received and inspected for damage. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is a result of our error. Items returned will be issued a refund via the same method in which the item was purchased. Credit to credit cards will be applied to the original credit card used in the purchase within approximately 2 business days of inspection of return. Items returned without the proper RMA may delay or completely cancel your refund. Please read your RMA instructions carefully to avoid refund delays. Your return must be shipped prepaid in order for us to accept it. If the error is ours, we will pay all shipping costs.

Restocking Fees
Orders containing qty 5 or more of a single item, or an order having an invoice total greater than 50 may incur restocking fees of 25-30%. This amount will not be refunded. If you are purchasing a large quantity of an item, we recommend first purchasing a sample to ensure that the product meets your requirements.

Clearance Items
Clearance Items are sold "as is" and are not subject to return, except for damaged or defective merchandise. Defective or damaged parts for clearance merchandise, if available, will be shipped at no charge to you. If replacement items are no longer available you will receive a full refund.

In Store Coupon
Coupons on the site designated for in-store discounts are not valid for online orders.
  • Limit one coupon per household per offer period.
  • Cannot be combined with any other offers.
  • May only be used on full-priced items, unless otherwise noted.
Volume Discounts
Additional discounts may be available on large quantity orders of a single item or on large orders of many individual items. Contact us for details.

Colors
We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colors of the products shown on this website. However, because the colors you see will depend on your monitor, manufacturer photography, lighting in your application, etc., we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
Underwriters Laboratories is an internationally recognized, nonprofit safety-testing agency. Federal and state laws require fixtures to be listed as meeting the safety codes created by UL. All our fixtures and lamps are U.L. approved.

Warranties
All products sold by us are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranties and terms of those warranties will vary for each manufacturer.

Modification of Content
Alloway Lighting Company will attempt to ensure that the content on this Website is complete and current. We do not guarantee that the information contained on this website will not contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions. Such errors, inaccuracies or omissions may relate to price or to product description or availability. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase you may return it with the original packing receipt within 30 days of the order date. Additional restrictions apply.
