GO GREEN: RECYCLE
Why Recycle?
- Fluorescent and Metal Halide lamps contain small amounts of mercury that need to be disposed of properly
- Some older T12 ballasts contain PCB's. PCB's have been found to be highly toxic and harmful to the environment. PCB ballasts are considered hazardous waste and need to be disposed of properly; usually by incineration. Alloway Lighting can assist with the disposal of PCB ballasts.
- It is the right thing to do. As we strive to be more environmentally conscience, recycling mercury containing fluorescent lamps is the proper course of action and adheres to proper lighting maintenance principles
